Biography
I graduated with a degree in acting from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts at the Academy of Arts in Banská Bystrica in 2003, as part of the class taught by Jozef Adamovič and Jan Přeučil. I have performed as a guest artist at both established and independent theaters in Banská Bystrica, Zvolen, Rožňava, Prešov, and Prague. Since 2005, the main focus of my life has been the independent theater NA PERÓNE, which I co-founded and where I work as artistic director, director, actress, screenwriter, and project manager. All these roles combine to make me the versatile theater artist I’ve wanted to be since childhood. Through theater, I’ve traveled a good part of the world, and audiences have seen our theater’s original productions at festivals in the Czech Republic, Poland, Serbia, Hungary, France, England, Sweden, Norway, Bulgaria, Germany, and off-Broadway in New York. In 2008, I was involved as a writer, actor, and director in numerous productions, international site-specific theater performances, and several independent productions in Prague.In our productions, in which I serve as director, playwright, and performer of one of the characters, we examine the fates of individuals stuck in the system, thereby implicitly, with perspective and sensitivity, highlighting current events in society.My work leans toward contemporary theater that blends various theatrical forms. I use a minimalist theatrical style with a strong inner foundation, a distinct interplay of words and movement, and I enjoy venturing into the realm of physical, experimental theater. I also record voiceovers for various purposes, write short stories and original radio plays for both children and adults, and lead the communication skills workshop “Nebľaboc!” and my first novella will be published soon. And on top of all that, I long to be in front of the camera more often :)
