Biography
Jarmila Vlčková, now a retired actress, has led a fulfilling acting career. She starred for two years in the series Rodinná pouta, where she played the caring mother Jarmila Pokorná. This was followed by guest roles in various series that did not go unnoticed. After playing a caring mother, she took on roles as a saleswoman (Jan Palach, the series Vyprávěj) , housekeepers (V.I.P. Murders), and then women who found dead bodies in a cemetery (Modrava Police) or identified her dead, dismembered daughter at the morgue (Cases of the First Department); and in more positive roles, she played the zealous secretary of a murderer in Blue Shadows, or the mother of a murderer in Two for the Killing. After corpses and murderers, she tried her hand at filming with children and animals (Agent in the Pocket—an untamable Jack Russell terrier puppy and a little girl), the Krejzovi series—a Pomeranian, the wolfhound in Štěstíčku naproti, and most recently, ZOO Nové začátky, a tomcat who played a kitten.
