Biography
Oldřich Bělka studied music and drama at the Zlín State Secondary School of Performing Arts, where he graduated in the role of Radek in the production *Identity* (directed by Hana Marvanová). During his studies and shortly thereafter, he appeared as a guest performer at the Zlín City Theater (Donaha!, Thorns and Stars, Mosquitoes, Pride and Prejudice, Ovčáček, My Darling, ...). He currently works on the stages of the Mahen Drama Company at the National Theater in Brno as a stage manager and prompter (From the Life of Insects, R/Evolution, The Brno Metro, The Hourly Hotelier, ...). He has appeared in the films Aristocrat in a Boil (2024), Maria Theresa II (2020), The Pack (2020), the miniseries Iveta (2024 – Season 3), the series Sex O’Clock (2023), The Clinic in the Rose Garden 2 (2022), What Are You Firefighters? (2021), Kriminálka 5.C (2019), Modrý kód (2018), and the student films Tarot (2019) and V pasti (2019). In the animated film Hrůza v tónu gramofónu (2020), he voiced the main character—Donát. You can also see him in the music video for the band Horizont’s “Naruby” (2019) or in a recording of the successful theatrical satire “Ovčáček miláček” (2017). This fall, you’ll see him in theaters in the film “Proč bychom se nezabili” (2026). He also does voice-over work from time to time.
