Act in a Film - Olmo Omerzu, Eliška Křenková
My name is Olesya. As you can see, it’s not a Czech name, but I’m not exactly “Eastern European” either. I used to live in Germany, and I’ve been living in Prague for nine years now, but I’ve kept my Ukrainian name.
I really love acting, and in general, I enjoy being on stage and performing. I’d like to have more opportunities to participate in projects—films, commercials, or anything in front of the camera.
I studied nonverbal theater at HAMU (similar to JAMU in Brno, which is where Bolek Polívka, for example, comes from). What he does is actually quite similar to what I do—comedy, improvisation, working with one’s own expression and posture, based on physical theater. If I were to describe myself simply as a “mime” or a “clown,” that wouldn’t quite capture who I am.
I am a professional actress trained in non-verbal performance, meaning physical theater without words. However, I prefer acting in front of the camera and working with text. I have been performing and working in theater for almost 10 years.
Most often, I play and create live dialogue with the audience—as a clown, actress, or moderator—meaning I joke, entertain, and communicate directly with the audience, but always within an acting context.
Therefore, I have strong skills in clowning, improvisation, and acting techniques. I can play different characters, I am easy to collaborate with, and I am very open to different approaches in creating a project. You can rely on me.
